Rothera Point () is a point at the east side of the entrance to Ryder Bay, on the southeast coast of Adelaide Island. Charted by the French Antarctic Expedition under Charcot, 1908-10. Named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee (UK-APC) in 1960 for John M. Rothera, Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) surveyor at the Horseshoe Island station in 1957 and at Detaille Island in 1958.
